10 more catch COVID-19, 23 recover: Health Ministry

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Thursday the registration of (10) new confirmed cases for citizens with Coronavirus (COVID-19).


Five out of the 10 cases are linked to contact infection, and 2 cases are linked to travel to the UK, while 3 cases are under epidemiological investigation. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in the Sultanate to (109).


The Ministry also pointed out that (23) cases have recovered.


MOH calls upon all to adhere to the quarantine procedures. The Ministry also advises all citizens and residents to keep on washing hands with water and soap, as well as avoiding touching the face, nose, mouth and eyes, and following the healthy habits when coughing and sneezing.


Full adherence to social distancing instructions issued by the Supreme Committee and the MOH is further required. --ONA
