MUSCAT: Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science celebrated on Thursday at Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Bausher the conclusion and honouring of the 8th edition of the ‘Youngsters Read Competition,’ organised by the centre under the patronage of Habib bin Mohammed al Riyami, Secretary-General of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science.

In this context, the centre organised a workshop entitled ‘The Promising Writer’ in April to achieve greater creativity in the field of writing in order to motivate youngsters who won the honour of winning the competition in its seventh edition.

Habib bin Mohammed al Riyami honoured 130 students who won the awards of the competition, in addition to the members of the jury committees of the competition and the members of the committees working in the competition.

It should be noted that 2,257 students participated in this competition, representing 17 centres distributed across the Sultanate’s governorates.
