Workshop on CPR held at CAS Nizwa

By Amal Al Riyami — NIZWA: Jan 24 - A workshop on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was organised by the Faculty of Applied Sciences in Nizwa in collaboration with the Directorate General of Health Services in Al Dakhiliyah on Sunday. The objective of the training, held at Jibreen Hall at the college, was to promote a healthy culture among employees. Coach Mahmoud al Harrasi and trainer Ahlam al Tobi from the health training centre in Al Dakhiliyah conducted the workshop. The workshop included several topics. The first one was about the basic steps for cardiopulmonary resuscitation for adults, children and babies and the ways to deal with different age groups. Participants learned how to detect if a person has suffered a heart attack and how to use a defibrillator. They also learnt how to revive people from different age groups.
