By Zainab Al Nasseri — MUSCAT: Jan. 10 – A new water distribution network has just been completed in the wilayat of Bahla in Dakhiliya Governorate, which is expected to benefit nine regions in the wilayat. These regions are: Wadi Qurayat, Dhabi, Qella Dhabi, Slout, Rusias, Saih Baidh, Zwita, Dendana and Hazm. The Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW), which started received applications for water supply services on Tuesday, called upon the people to avail of the services through the Customer Services Hall as per the dates specified for each region.
Residents should provide certain documents to avail of the services. These include a request form approved by municipality, proof of house ownership, copy of electricity bill, copy of ID and copy of completion certificate (for new buildings). This is part of the authority’s strategy to provide a high quality network for water distribution and transfer. It aims to fulfill its 2040 strategy to supply 98 per cent of the population with potable water.
