SAMUEL KUTTY -

MUSCAT, MARCH 17 -

It is all about those moments when DJs from London, NYC, and Muscat had hundreds of music lovers in the capital dancing and grooving all the night long. The Al Mazaar Amphitheatre at Barr Al Jissah once again witnessed a rocking DJ party, with the vivacious international DJs dabbling in various music genres and enthralling the crowd.

True to the saying music does connect people, especially when it comes from a beautiful source, the music played in the night was vigorous, having weighty sound, driven by the punchy bass lines created vibes that penetrated straight into many hearts.

Not only did the DJs entertain the audiences with music, but captivating dance moves as well. Each ensemble performed so well, that it is impossible to say which was liked the best.

Sam Supplier and Bluey got the crowd grooving to kick off the show with some incredible House Music. They were followed by Oman’s own DJ AA, who showcased his unique style of mixing and his own genre defying Mash Ups preparing the crowd for the headline artist.

Whether it was Scoop’s rambunctious baritone hyping a track or video cameos for P Diddy, 50 Cent, or Elephant Man to name a few, Scoop’s booming voice, catchy hooks, electrifying energy and charismatic presence did not go unnoticed!

Highlighting the evening was the ‘Undisputed Voice of the Club’ Fatman Scoop who lit up the stage with hit after hit and engaged the audience in a way never seen before in Oman.

Finally, Artful Dodger and DJ Luck & MC Neat joined him on the stage and the three heavyweight acts took the stage for one of the biggest moments of the show, leading into a very special back to back performance by the UK Garage legends to close the show.

“The turnout was fantastic and the audience in the amphitheatre had a really special evening”, Commenting on the show, Firas Matraji, CEO of Barr Al Jissah, said.

Over over 1,500 music fans converged for the night only concert at Barr Al Jissah, which is Muscat’s favourite luxury destination.

The big show was part of Al Mazaar’s action packed 2017 music and events calendar, confirming its reputation as Muscat’s most favoured luxury destination.

Situated in a secluded bay — where the Sea of Oman meets the dramatic mountainous coastline — Barr Al Jissah is the prestigious business behind Oman’s leading luxury destination.

Barr Al Jissah brings together high-end homes with three luxury hotels managed by Shangri-La, complemented by an edutainment centre with open-air amphitheatre — ideal for outdoor concerts — and a private marina, offering the perfect base to explore Oman’s pristine coastline. Fatman Scoop, Artful Dodger, DJ Luck & MC Neat, Sam Supplier, DJ Bluey, and DJ AA now join an already impressive line-up of artists who have played at Al Mazaar Amphitheatre, including the likes of Roger Sanchez, Tom Jones, Ed Sheeran, and Stereophonics.

“This concert marks the conclusion of our second major event this year, but there’s still lots more in store. We aim to make Barr Al Jissah an exciting and unique year-round destination, and have great events lined-up for the remainder of the year”, said Firas.

DJ AA is a versatile DJ that plays a wide range of genres from downtempo to hip hop to house and everything in between. DJ Bluey is an internationally renowned DJ, who brings energy, charisma, and personality to every room he steps foot in.
