Two-day Al Ahlam UK Education Expo opens

MUSCAT: Al Ahlam Higher Education’s latest edition of the UK Education Expo officially began yesterday and was inaugurated by Sayyid Salim bin Musallam Al Busaidy, the Under-Secretary for Administrative Affairs, Ministry of Civil Service. Apart from Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidy the inauguration was also attended by Russ Dixon, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Oman.

Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidy, addressing the media, highly commended the Al Ahlam UK Education Expo. He emphasised the importance of higher education for Omani students, stating that if Oman is to grow and diversify its economy then it is essential that parents and students are informed about the wide variety of programmes available, and the benefits of study abroad. Well-regulated educational fairs make access to such information much easier and ensure that students graduate with a qualification from a first-rate institution.

.Kate Clarke, Managing Director and Student Advisor of Al Ahlam Higher Education Services, supported Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidy and stated that the future of the country lies in the hands of the youth, who need to be highly skilled and knowledgeable. Education is important in promoting consistent, inclusive and equitable economic growth for the sustainable development of any country. Ensuring quality higher education is one of the most important things we can provide for future generations. UK institutions offer fit for purpose education, whose graduates are highly sought after by employers due to their transferable skills and seamless transition to the workplace.

The event is organised by Al Nimr Expo in association with Al Ahlam Higher Education Services, Oman’s leading UK student counselling agency licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education. The two day Expo is being held at Grand Millennium Hotel Muscat, Crystal Ballroom, and is open to the public from 4:30pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, March 21.

The Expo will move to Sohar and will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, March 22-23, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Sohar. It will remain open to visitors from 4:30pm to 8:30pm.
