Muscat, Jan 15 - The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) will be auctioning special (diamond and gold) numbers. As per the details published in the Official Gazette on January 14, TRA said the bidding will be conducted through the websites of telecom companies. The company has invited those interested in registering for the auction to follow the updates by these companies on the date of first online auction for special numbers (diamond and gold). TRA will oversee implementation of the number allocation process by these telecom companies. Millions were raised through similar auctions, including charity, in the UAE in recent times.
