MUSCAT: The Ministry of Tourism will represent the Sultanate and participate in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, from April 24th to April 27. The Sultanate’s delegation will be led by Maitha bint Saif al Mahrouqiya, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism. The Sultanate participates in the ATM annually, as it is considered as the largest international gathering specialised in tourism in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The ATM provides a crucial platform for participants from government agencies and private companies to present their products, services, and the new tourism projects to the right target audience.

The target audience also become oriented with the latest developments, which take place in the Arab and international tourism industry as the exhibition serves as the perfect opportunity to meet and network with other interested parties, as well as attend workshops, seminars and other events that are organised on the sidelines of the ATM. Through its participation in this international exhibition, the Ministry of Tourism seeks to introduce the sector’s latest developments and the most recently launched services, projects and facilities of the tourism industry in the Sultanate.

It also aims to promote the Omani tourism — its originality, the pristine environment and terrain diversification and the sultanate’s unique cultural heritage, which provides multiple types of tourism in Oman. The Ministry’s participation will highlight future tourism plans and projects, which are expected to be launched soon, and those that will add a value to the sector by attracting a large number of tourists. A special focus will be given to promote Khareef festival in Salalah.

The Arabian Travel Market is a leading international event for tourism in the Middle East. Celebrating its twenty-two years since being launched, the forum marks important aspects in tourism. Participants in this annual business fair from the tourism sector exhibit more than 2,800 products and destinations from around the world. The ATM will be held for 4 days at Dubai International Convention Centre. It will host more than 39,000 visitors who are interested in tourism sector.— ONA
