The Ministry of Oil and Gas (MOG) has said that the total value of the Muscat-Suhar fuel gas pipeline project is $320 million and the work started on it in 2015. The local value added by the project will be $230 million and it will cater to over 50 per cent of Oman's fuel needs. It will reduce the need for truck transportation of fuel by nearly 70 per cent, thereby contributing to road safety by reducing traffic congestion.
