By Lakshmi Kothaneth — MUSCAT: Feb. 25 - The week begins with a cold day for Jabal Shams with the temperature of 7 degree Celsius. Thunder showers are expected today according to the Oman Met Office. The rains are expected in the Musandam Governorate and surrounding areas of Al Hajar Mountains and the coastal areas of Oman Sea. Rustaq, Sohar and Quriyat received rain as part of the trough of the low pressure that is currently influencing the northern part of Oman.Monday will see the continuation of rain in Al Hajar said the weather forecaster at Oman Met Office, “To be more specific there is more possibility for rain in the eastern part of Al Hajar, Musandam Governorate as well as the Coastal areas of Oman Sea.” Isolated rains are expected on Tuesday. Sea wave is expected to be slight to moderate from Muscat to Masirah coast reaching up to 2meters.
