Berlin: German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom lifted its full-year forecast slightly on Thursday, as it reported a solid second quarter boosted by its mobile phone activity in the United States.
The group saw net profits increase 40.7 per cent between April and June compared with the same period last year, reaching 874 million euros ($1.0 billion).
Operating, or underlying profit grew by 27.4 per cent to almost 6.0 billion euros on the back of revenues up 6.0 per cent to 18.9 billion. — AFP
