MUSCAT: Takatuf, Oman’s leading strategic provider of innovative human capital solutions, has organised an event called Jalsat Takatuf Scholars. The aim of this event was to bring together the Takatuf scholars alumni in Oman and abroad, to share their experiences in various projects they participated and the knowledge they gathered. Takatuf Scholars Programme Alumni Network (TSPAN), launched in July 2018, was behind the initiative.

Alghith al Harthi, president of TSPAN, said: “We are happy to have held our first Jalsat Takatuf. The event was organised to reconnect with scholars who may have not had the opportunity to attend the annual summer gathering events, like the Takatuf Scholars Homecoming, because of school or other commitments.”

The event took place at Alrudha, the unique youth space for meetings and events in Muscat, and was attended by over 20 TSP alumni. The event began with some activities to set the right mood for an informal discussion among the scholars and the alumni.

The latter part included a panel discussion, in which some Takatuf international scholars and TSP alumni shared their experiences related to various projects they participated in the real world, which helped them expand their horizons and learn beyond their academic studies.

Hilal al Mamari, Academic Head, TSP, said: “We currently have 342 alumni of the Takatuf Scholars Programme since its first cohort of 2012 and we are proud that the TSPAN has now started organising activities like Jalsat Takatuf Scholars, as the platform for the scholars to reconnect, network, share ideas and start projects.”
