MUSCAT: The Main Committee on the Future Vision ‘Oman 2040’ on Monday held its seventh meeting under the chairmanship of His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tareq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, Chairman of the Committee.
The committee reviewed the main three pillars namely man and society, economy and development and finally governance and institutional performance. It also reviewed the preparations for Oman Vision 2040 symposia which will be held during the middle of this month.
A number of national cadre representing various institutions in the Sultanate will take part in the symposia which aim at identifying the trends and the strategic aims of Oman Vision 2040.
The committee reviewed the outcome of the seminar on the future scenarios which was held in December 2017 with national and international participation.
It also reviewed the preparations for the visits to the governorates, which will commence at the end of this month. The committee adopted a number of necessary decisions and recommendations on the agenda items. — ONA
