Summer rains to continue

MUSCAT, July 9 –
Summer rains in Al Hajar, drizzle in Dhofar and low clouds over the Coast of Oman Sea continue as the weather forecast for Monday.
Al Hajar Mountain Range will continue its summer rains in the afternoon that could also reach out to the adjoining areas, according to Oman Met Office, Public Authority for Civil Aviation.
Low cloud develop-ment in the coastal areas of Dhofar will bring in chances for drizzle.
“Cloudy skies along the coastal areas of Dhofar governorate and adjoining mountains with drizzle,” said the weather fore
caster.
Meanwhile there are chances for low cloud development during late night and early morning over South Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Oman Sea Coast covering Muscat, South and North Batinah. But there are no rains predicted.
The cause of the low clouds is the combination of high relative humidity and easterly winds, said the weather expert at Oman Met Office.
For the rest of the Sultanate the wind direction will be southerly to southeasterly light to moderate and along the coastal areas of Arabian Sea it will be southwesterly moderate to fresh.
