Sultanate to take part in Cairo social affairs meet

MUSCAT: The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, will take part in the 36th session of the Arab Social Affairs Ministers Council, due to be held today in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Sultanate’s delegation will be led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Said al Kalbani, Minister of Social Development.
The various problems related to poverty and development in the Arab countries will be discussed, in addition to the five-yearly draft plan of the Council of Arab Social Affairs Ministers 2017-2021. The session will follow-up implementing of the 2030 objectives of sustainable development in its social dimensions and the preparations for the 28th session of the Arab League Council scheduled for March 2017. —ONA
