NEW YORK: The Sultanate is implementing a foreign policy that takes into account the lofty goals of the United Nations in the service of international peace and security, this was stated by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin lssa al Harthy, Permanent Representative of Oman to the United Nations, during the UN High-Level Meeting on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace in New York.
He stressed that since His Majesty the Sultan took power in 1970, the Sultanate has exerted every effort to play its positive role in helping to avoid conflicts and prevent them, as well as to cooperate with the United Nations and peace-loving countries to resolve disputes in the region through peaceful and diplomatic means.
