Davos: The Sultanate ranked sixth in the Arab World Competitiveness Report 2018 issued by the World Economic Forum on its website.
The report said that the Sultanate has advanced 4 positions globally to reach 62th place as a result of the improvement in the macroeconomic environment, higher education, training and infrastructure.
The report was based on 12 factors, including education, infrastructure, labour market dynamics, training and rehabilitation.
The reported affirmed that the Arab countries need to provide 58 million job opportunities by 2040 to maintain current job search rates, which will require creating more jobs if they want to reduce these rates. –ONA
