MUSCAT: The Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Health (MoH) will participate in the sixth session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which will be held today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, will lead the Sultanate’s delegation. The two-day conference will address key issues in promoting health system in the member countries and reviews updates and reports of the OIC Strategic Health Program of Action 2014-2023. Furthermore, the conference will approve the privileges of the leading countries coordinators and the health steering committee 2017-2019. The agenda of the conference will also include election of the office members, handing over the presidency and determining date and venue of the OIC Health Ministers’ Conference next session.
