NEW DELHI: Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, held talks with India’s Minister of Defence Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Wednesday. The session discussed the existing cooperation relations between the two defence ministries and means of enhancing areas of cooperation to serve the joint interests between the two friendly countries. The session was attended by Shaikh Hamad bin Saif al Rawahi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to India, the Omani military attaché in India, the delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr and a number of military and civil officials at the Indian Defence Ministry. On the sidelines of his visit, Sayyid Badr and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to the memorial of the Unknown Soldier. He placed a wreath on the monument, while the Protocols Guard of the Indian Armed Forces gave the military salute for him. He also shook hands with senior officers of the Indian Armed Forces. — ONA
