MUSCAT: The Main Committee of the 28th GCC Quran and Hadith Competition for Youth held its first meeting to discuss topics related to the Sultanate’s hosting of the competition during February 25 to March 3, 2017 in Muscat.
The committee reviewed arrangements of technical and administrative aspects and preparations for the hosting and approving the competition’s programme, as well as discussing and determining the financial and in-kind bonuses allocated to the first three winners on the level of teams and individuals.
The committee also approved the Sultanate’s delegation in the competition, reviewed its requirements and preparation in a manner that enables it to represent the Sultanate in the most appropriate way and to achieve advanced positions in the competition.
The main committee will hold a meeting with the teams formed to follow the preparations required in advance before the competition kicks off. — ONA
