Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, received in his office on Thursday Chen Xiaodong, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. The two sides exchanged viewpoints on a range of regional and international issues of common concern. They also stressed the importance of supporting, sustaining and strengthening pillars of regional and international security and stability, in addition to supporting all efforts to achieve goals of sustainable economic development for all.
Also on Thursday, the 11th round of the Strategic Consultations Team between the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China was held at the Foreign Ministry.
The Omani side was chaired by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, while the Chinese side was headed by Chen Xiaodong, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.
During the session, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and existing cooperation between the two friendly countries in all diplomatic, economic, investment, trade and cultural fields, as well as means to promote them.
The talks session was attended by Mohammed bin Ahmed al Balushi, Head of East Asia Department, officials at the Foreign Ministry, Yu Fulong, Chinese Ambassador to the Sultanate and the delegation accompanying the guest. — ONA
