Sultanate celebrates Eid al Fitr

His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, performed Eid al Fitr prayer at Al Khour Mosque in Muscat on Monday morning on the first day of Eid al Fitr.


HH Sayyid Fahd was accompanied during the Eid prayers by their highnesses; members of the Royal family, ministers,


under-secretaries, advisers and prominent figures.


Shaikh Dr Is’haq bin Ahmed al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council, led the Eid prayer.


He began the Eid sermon with Takbir (exclaiming Allah is Great), glorifying and thanking Allah the Almighty for His many blessings, praying on the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), thanking Allah for completing the fasting of Ramadhan and making easy for ways of charity and doing well.


The Khutba (sermon) covered the reward of Allah for those who fasted during Ramadhan and highlighting the commands of Allah the Almighty and avoidance of evil doings, in addition to lessons from praying, fasting and reciting of the Holy Quran.
