MUSCAT: Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council, on Tuesday received a delegation from Morocco’s Council of Counsellors led by Larbi al Maharashi. The Chairman welcomed the delegation and wished them a good stay in the Sultanate. He said the visit reflect the depth of the bilateral and historical ties between the two countries and confirms the keenness of the leadership of the two countries to enhance cooperation and develop bilateral relations.

The Chairman highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting joint relations, pointing out in this regard the role played by the Parliamentary Friendship Committee between the State Council and the Council of Counsellors in pushing the two countries to greater horizons for serving the interests of the two friendly countries.
For his part, the head of the Moroccan side expressed his happiness and the delegation’s visit to the Sultanate, thanked the warm hospitality extended to them and said that they looked forward to further development, prosperity and development in the relations between the two friendly countries.
He stressed the deep relations between the two countries; praising the wise policy adopted by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and His Highness the Crown Prince, and praised the pioneering role of the Sultanate in serving the various issues of international peace and security.
