State Council Bureau debates Cultural Heritage Law

MUSCAT: The State Council Bureau on Tuesday discussed the draft of Cultural Heritage Law, transferred by the Council of Ministers and the report documented by the Committee of Culture, Information and Tourism. The meeting also discussed the Social Committee’s proposal for study on the theme “Oman’s national draft strategy to reduce child accidents”, currently being performed. The Bureau meeting, chaired by the Vice-Chairman of the Council, Dr Al Shaikh al Khattab bin Ghalib al Hinai, was held in the presence of the Bureau members and the secretary-general of the Council and the secretariat staff.


The Bureau hosted Dr Ahmed bin Ali al Mashikhi, Head of the Committee of Culture, Information and Tourism, and Ismail bin Saleh al Aghbari, member of Culture, Information and Tourism Committee for inputs on the report. The Bureau decided to present it at the next Regular Session of the Council scheduled for March 14. The Bureau also discussed the proposals put forth by the members and briefed on communications received by the Council. It also accessed the reports on the implementation of decisions taken between the previous and present meeting. The meeting decided the agendas of the fifth and the sixth regular sessions scheduled to be held on March 14 and 15.
