SQU research team gets patency

MUSCAT: A research team from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) received patency for a devise and multi-use wireless charging method.
The invention meets the needs related to charging mobile and gadgets’ batteries more than once a day. The available mobile charger now should be connected to a power source. The device will eliminate the need to carry the wire-chargers. The patency application took almost one and a half year to process as the device was subject to laboratory tests and simulations to check its readiness for use. The research team, led by Dr Mohammed bin Manea Bait Suweilem, comprises Jaafar al Dawood, Abdul Aziz al Balushi, Mohammed al Kindi and Ammar al Mahrami. It should be noted that the research team is currently adding more features to the current model. — ONA
