Shihab finishes tenth at F4 second round

MUSCAT, May 8 - Oman’s young driver Shihab al Habsi claimed tenth place at the second round of the F4 Championship in France. Shihab had to struggle due to heavy rain and that resulted in some crashes and the tenth place finish. As many as 19 drivers featured in the second round of race.


The 14 year old said that despite the position, he was richer by the experience. “I gained new experience by how to control better during the heavy rain. Also, I had added new experience also through having the pre-qualification’s training before and after the races.

The Omani boy had finished the first round at F4 Championship in ninth place at the Nogaro circuit in France on April 3. Al Habsi who is sponsored by the Ministry of Sports Affairs, Oman Oil, Al zubair Corporation, Dhofar Motors Oman Air, was able to prove his worth to other drivers from around the world, surpassing many of them and finished at ninth place.
