MUSCAT, May 23 - Shat Al Arab and Al Bahri teams clinched three points each from group one in the Majan football tournament being held at the Shabab al Khoudh football ground. The tournament which is in its fourth edition is organised under the supervision of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), which is responsible to complete all the infrastructure and projects related to the Qatar World Cup 2022 in coordination with International Communication Centre in Muscat. Shat al Arab beat Team 121 by a 2-1 margin while Al Bahri defeated Al Ameed 3-2.
In group two, Ittihad Al Khoudh and Al Taawoun teams bagged their first triumphs as both teams edged Hilal al Athaiba 2-1 and Al Fatih team 1-0 respectively. The Rasta team snatched a 3-2 win over Ahli al Ashabiah while Shabab Al Anaabi won against 2002 team 2-1 in group three. In the fourth group, Shalkah team edged Al Shabab team 1-0 while Hilal Al Seeb trashed Al Muntaser 3-1. The Organising committee will give away cash prizes for the top three spots. The winner will get the Trophy and RO 1500 cash and gold medals while the runners up will receive RO 750 and silver medals. Third placed team will get RO 375 and bronze medals and RO 500 for the fair play award.
