SEZAD highlights Duqm potential at Prague

PRAGUE: The Special Economic Zone Authority in Duqm (SEZAD) organised an introductory seminar on the project of the Special Economic Zone in Duqm (SEZAD) upon an official invitation of the Czech Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Embassy of the Czech Republic and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Czech Republic in the capital, Prague. The seminar was aimed at introducing Czech businessmen and investors to the advantages, opportunities and investment incentives of the zone, as well as attracting foreign investments and encouraging foreign capital to invest in the region’s economic zone.
The delegation met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, who praised the relations between the two countries in various political, economic and investment fields, as well as means of promoting cooperation and localizing investments between the two sides. Ismail al Balushi, Deputy CEO of SEZAD said that the seminar was aimed at introducing businessmen to Duqm project and exploring investment opportunities with the Czech side as the zone enjoys comparative and competitive advantage through which the Czech investment in the zone can be raised. The seminar was attended by Czech officials, businessmen and representatives of Czech companies who welcomed organizing such a seminar in Prague. They also expressed their aspiration to invest in Duqm and the Sultanate in general.  — ONA
