MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by the Directorate-General of Pharmaceutical Affairs and Drug Control (DGPADC) and in collaboration with the Oman Pharmaceutical Society (OPS), organised recently a seminar on the job opportunities in the private pharmaceutical sector. The seminar, which attended by Dr Mohammed al Rubaiee, DGPADC Director-General, aimed to encourage the Omani pharmacists and pharmacy students to seize the various and available opportunities in the pharmacy field, as well as investing in this sector.

Dr Al Rubaiee pointed out that this seminar is a good chance for the young people to share their experiences in the labour market. He also praised the OPS efforts and the pharmacists in the government and private sectors. Pharmacist Ibrahim al Rashdi, OPS Chairman, stressed that the focus is now in the private sector in order to be an attractive environment for the pharmaceutical work through incentive and working hours. He also added that the private sectors must be ready to absorb the Omani pharmacists during the next phase. — ONA
