Seeb to get new fish market worth RO 1.7 million

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will sign an agreement with Arab Company for Supplies and Contracting to establish a new fish market at the fishing harbor in Seeb. Estimated to cost RO1.7 million, the project will come up on a total area of ​​7,040 sqm and will include 12 shops, an ice factory, 64 showrooms, 37 fish cutting tables, a seafood cafe and restaurant, beside facilities such as toilets, changing rooms for fishermen, prayer and the management office. As per the reports, an area measuring more than 16,000 sqm of land next to fish market will be offered for tourism related investment in the future. The new market is expected to open up new direct and indirect job opportunities for citizens.
