Muscat: The Ministry of Sports Affairs announced yesterday the results of His Majesty the Sultan’s Youth Cup for the year 2016. Seeb Club came first for the eleventh time in its history. Saham Club came in second place and Ibri Club finished third.
The awards were presented during a ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel under the patronage of Eng Mohsen bin Mohammed al Sheikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, in the presence of Shaikh Saad bin Mohammed al Saadi, Minister of Sports Affairs.
Ahli Sidab took the fourth spot with Oman Club in fifth place and Al Bashayer Club in sixth place. Dhofar won seventh place and Al Salam Club came in the eighth place, Qurayat ninth and Sohar in the tenth place.
This edition of the Youth Cup witnessed the participation of 22 clubs: Seeb, Ahli Sidab, Oman Club, Qurayat, Salalah, Al Ittihad, Al Nasr, Dhofar, Sohar, Majees, Al Salam, Al Suwaiq, Saham, Al Shabab, Bahla, Fanja, Al Bashayer, Ibri, Yanqul, Al Ittifaq, Nizwa and Bausher. — ONA
