Sayyid Badr visits NDC

MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, on Monday paid an inspection visit to the National Defence College (NDC). He was received upon arrival at NDC headquarters at Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj by Maj Gen Salim bin Musallam Qatan, NDC Commandant, and NDC senior officers. Sayyid Badr was briefed on the parallel programmes that the college plans to implement during the current year, as part of the ongoing modernisation of the college in the preparation of military and civilian leaders at the strategic level in the fields of security and defence. The minister visited NDC exhibition, which included some pictures that reflect the academic activities and the visits paid by the Sultanate’s senior guests to the college. He also visited the new training facilities including a hall for parallel programmes and another hall for the national defence course programme. Sayyid Badr was accompanied by the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, Chairman of NDC Board of Directors, corps commanders and members of NDC Council. — ONA
