MUSCAT: A delegation of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), currently visiting the Sultanate, visited the National Museum on Thursday. The visiting delegation viewed antiquities in the halls, most notably the Land and People Hall. The delegation also viewed handicrafts that embody aspects of the Omani genuine life.

The delegation, headed by Fahd bin Mohammed al Skeit, Head of the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit at the Secretariat General of the KSA Council of Ministers, visited the Maritime History Hall to view the history of the Omani ships, followed by a tour to the Prehistory Hall.

The museum, which is the most prominent cultural edifice in the Sultanate, dedicated to highlighting the nation’s heritage from the earliest human settlement in the Oman Peninsula some two million years ago through to the present day. — ONA
