Saudi delegation explores Oman’s experience in exports, investments

MUSCAT: A delegation from the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), led by Fahd bin Mohammed al Skeit, Head of the Local Content and Private Sector Development Unit, at the Secretariat General of the KSA Council of Ministers, on Wednesday met with state officials during which the delegation was briefed on the Sultanate’s experiences in various fields. The delegation, which is currently on an official visit to the Sultanate, separately met with Dr Salim bin Nasser al Ismaili, Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa), Salim bin Nasser al Oufi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas, and Dr Muna bint Salim al Jardaniyah, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Manpower for Technical Education and Vocational Training.


During the meetings, the visiting delegation explored means of benefiting from the Sultanate’s experiences in the fields of attracting investments, supporting and facilitating exports, and managing programme of in-country value (ICV), local content area and professional knowledge development, as well as human resources development. Further, during the meetings, the KSA delegation discussed means of benefiting from the Sultanate’s experiences in the fields of investment, local content and the best ways to cooperate in topics of mutual interest. They also reviewed areas of sharing experience and expertise to promote and improve the practical aspects of those fields.  — ONA
