SalamAir, Oman Air flights affected due to bad weather

Muscat - Oman Air and SalamAir reported disruptions of domestic flights due to bad weather conditions that prevailed in the morning on Saturday.


Saturday update from SalamAir: Due to deteriorating weather conditions in Salalah, SalamAir regrets to inform you on the cancellation of today’s flights OV001 & OV002.


Saturday update from Oman Air Domestic flights are affected by strong winds with several being delayed or cancelled. Operations will resume subject to weather conditions.


Situation on Friday: SalamAir in a statement said that due to deteriorating weather conditions in Salalah, the airline regrets to inform the cancellation of today’s flights OV001 & OV002. "The airline land safely from Muscat at 11.20am but unfortunately the weather deteriorated and the further reduction of visibility led to cancellation of OV001 & OV002. The passengers will be given an option to rebook tickets for the next flight or have a full refund of their next purchase.


Oman Air said its Flights WY931/2 to Khasab are cancelled due to bad weather, while flight WY941 to Salalah had to return to Muscat for similar reasons. Later it said that the Updated departure time of flight WY941 to Salalah is 4.30pm and to return from Salalah (WY942) at 7.05 local time.
