Rustaq College of Education receives 300 graduates

Rustaq, August 30 - A total of 300 higher diploma graduates were welcomed at Rustaq College of Education for the academic year 2017-18.


An Orientation Week, which included motivational and informative lectures, workshops and proficiency tests, were conducted for the students majoring in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English Language and Literature. The orientation was aimed at introducing the college’s organisational structure to the new batch. It also offered courses and the foundation year programme.


The available internal accommodations were explained to the female students.


A role play titled ‘Seven-Day Comedy’ was delivered and informative presentations displayed for students commencing varsity life in Rustaq Hall.


A lecture titled ‘Future Starts Now’ was presented by Dr Salih al Fahdi, writer, poet and theatre actor and Head of Qiyam Centre. All academic and administrative departments, and all services of the college were highlighted.


Dr Humood al Wardi, the Dean of Rustaq College of Education, told the Observer: “The Orientation Week is highly vital for new students as it helps them understand college


rules and regulations, and prepares them for the upcoming academic journey.”
