In his speech, Humood al Wardi said the forum is a “harvest of cooperation” between Rustaq College and Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science. He said the forum will achieve the desired outcomes and thanked the Sultan Qaboos Higher Centre for Culture and Science and participants. Research papers were presented at the forum. A paper titled ‘Omani Political Presence in East Africa’ delivered by Dr Mohammed Al Shueili. Another paper titled ‘Omani African Literature’ was presented by Dr Issa al Sulaimani. ‘Omani Press in the Horn of Africa’ was presented by Dr Mohammed al Mahrooqi and ‘Omani Manuscripts in East Africa’ by Dr Sultan al Shaibani. The session was moderated by noted media presenter Mohammed al Marjibi.
