PARIS: The Royal Cavalry won the third place in the French 3-star Florac Endurance Horse Race, for 160 kilometres, which was organised by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). Ali bin Hassan al Farsi won third place on his horse Khanjar. With this win, the Royal Cavalry has qualified with five riders for the World Equestrian Championship, to be held in the United States next year. Florac is one of the most powerful endurance races in France because of its difficult stages and rugged mountainous paths. The race experienced heavy rain that increased the spirit of challenge among the horse riders.
