BURAIMI: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Monday celebrate the opening of the Hamasa Border Point in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi as part of its strategies aimed at improving and modernising the police services provided at the Sultanate’s official outlets. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Interior Ministry, and attended by Maj Gen Hamad bin Sulaiman al Hatmi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations. The building comprises administrative offices, passport counter and customs areas. The border point will boost security in the governorate and facilitate the procedures for border crossers between the Sultanate and the UAE.
