ROP makes breakthrough in Salalah expat woman murder case

Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP) has arrested Arab national who entered Oman illegally in connection with a murder case involving an expatriate woman in Dhofar Goverornate recently. The accused carried a white weapon and inflicted multiple stab wounds, stole her gold jewellery and fled the scene. The accused was arrested within 24 hours after a team was formed for investigations. The accused admitted to the crime and the stolen goods were seized from his possession. He has been referred to the Public Prosecution for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the Coast Guard in Mussandam was able to arrest five Asians expatriates for trying to get out of the country illegally.
ROP said that the accused will be referred for further legal actions.
