The Directorate of Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances at Dhofar Governorate Police Command has managed to foil an attempt to smuggle more than 500 bundles of khat into the Sultanate in the Wilayat of Mirbat. The anti-drug department had received a tip off about a drug consignment that was concealed at Al Damar beach in the Wilayat of Mirbat. Police seized the drugs and is still searching for the defendants.
