ROLE OF LITERARY MOVEMENT REVIEWED

MUSCAT: Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information, received in his office members of the Board of Directors of the Omani Society for Writers and Literati (OSWL), led by Said bin Mohammed al Saqlawi. This meeting comes as part of the efforts that aim at exploring integrity among government institutions and civil society establishments in a manner that supports their role in the community. The meeting reviewed contributions of intellectual and literary movement in the Sultanate and seeking to activate them, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information and respective institutions. It also touched on the objectives of establishing OSWL. The meeting addressed major challenges facing OSWL in its relevant aspects, as well as means of promoting cooperation between OSWL and the Ministry of Information. — ONA
