Barr Al Jissah along with the fans of Sanchez in the capital city are all set to welcome world renowned superstar, who will perform on January 20, Friday night at Al Mazaar open air amphitheatre from 7 pm. Sanchez, who has made one of the most prominent imprints in the global house music scene, is coming to Muscat for the first time.
Roger Sanchez is an American house music DJ, Remixer and Grammy Award Winner. He is a four-time DJ Awards winner for “Best House DJ” in 1999, 2002, 2004 and 2007 and has received twelve nominations in all. He won the first International Dance Music Award for Best Podcast in 2007 and has received 8 IDMA nominations for Best American DJ (2003-2010). As well as being a DJ, he is the owner of the record label, Stealth Records.
Famous for his remix of Hella Good by No Doubt in 2003, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the renowned house DJ host his acclaimed ‘Release Yourself’ night. His most famous hit to date is Another Chance, which entered at #1 on the UK singles chart. The song was based on a sample of the first verse of Toto’s song I Won’t Hold You Back. The song came off Sanchez’ first album, First Contact.
A limited number of early bird tickets are available at Al Mazaar Edutainment Centre ticketing office at Barr Al Jissah for RO 10 per person until Sunday, while regular tickets will be available after Sunday for RO 20 and include 2 welcome beverages.
