Road accidents decline in Oman

The number of road accidents has decreased by 39% by the end of January this year as the number of registered cases has come down to 194 compared to 318 accidents last year, according to statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) and Royal Oman Police (ROP).

Road accidents resulted in 43 deaths and 273 injuries compared to 52 deaths and 251 injuries last year. Among the dead, 27 were Omanis 16 were expatriates. About 196 Omani individuals and 77 expatriates were injured.
