MUSCAT: Omani researcher Maktoom al Kaabi has received a master’s degree in law from Mansoura University in Egypt recently.

His research was entitled ‘Constitutional and Legal Protection of Human Rights, Comparative Study between Omani and Egyptian Law.’’

Al Kaabi says that the study aims to present implementation of the legislative rules, which provide for the protection of Arab human rights.

His study also discussed the legal protection in the legislations and constitutions and the justification of infringement and its forms. He mentioned that the study focused on Egypt and the Sultanate.

The discussion panellist comprised of Salah al Deen from law college as head of evaluation committee. Members of committee included Dr Shareef Khater and Dr Jameel al Balqasi. Maktoom is from the Wilayat of Shinas and he is working currently at the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in South Al Batinah Governorate.
