Remote interrogation system launched

MUSCAT: The Public Prosecution in cooperation with Royal Oman Police has launched video conference investigation system on Sunday. The technology is designed to remotely interrogate the inmates of the Central Prison without the need to move them to the investigators offices. Intended to save time and reduce the cost and effort, the system is part of wide efforts to apply the e-government which is aimed at enhancing the work mechanisms at the government departments by introducing modern technologies.
