Religious symposium held in Salalah

SALALAH: The General Directorate of Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs in Dhofar Governorate organised a workshop at the Sultan Qaboos mosque in Salalah on Monday. The religious symposium entitled “The social presence of religious frameworks” was held as part of the plan to revive Omani customs in religious jobs. The symposium was patronised by Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed al Khatib, Chairman of the Commission for Reconciliation in Salalah, in the presence of Yusuf bin Mohammed al Balushi, Adviser to the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs in Dhofar Governorate.


The seminar dealt with the first three areas titled “The legal status of religious jobs in the text of revelation and was presented by Dr Ibrahim Shuaib Zaidan, Professor of Religious Sciences, at the University of Dhofar and the second on the social status of the religious jobs in Quran presented by Abdullah bin Ali al Shahri of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science. The third dwelt with the social duties of religious jobs in Omani administrative legislation and was was submitted by Dr Mohammed bin Aqeel bin Mohieddin from the Administrative Judiciary Court of Justice, Salalah. — ONA
