Rains likely in Musandam, PACDA urges caution

The Oman Meteorology has indicated towards the proliferation of clouds on the Musandam governorate with chances of moderate to light showers. The met department added that over most of the sultanate, winds will be northeasterly light to moderate becoming variably light at night along the coastal areas.


Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Civil Defenses and Ambulances (PACDA) has urged people to exercise caution and urged people to follow weather forecast only from professional bodies and local authorities.


PACDA urged people to avoid staying close to electricity poles and be careful with lower voltage wires. PACDA urged people not to cross the wadi flows even if the water level is low. "In case you get hold or stuck in the floods, get out of the car and stand on top of it and wait until rescued."

Forecast for Sunday: 'Clear to partly cloudy skies over Musandam, parts of Al-Hajar Mountains and along the coastal areas of Oman Sea with chances isolated rain. Mainly clear skies over the rest of the Sultanate with chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over parts of South al-Sharqiya and Al Wusta governorates.'
