Rains likely after low pressure

MUSCAT: The Sultanate is being affected by a trough of low pressure which began on Saturday and will continue till Sunday bringing chances of scattered light to moderate rains. Temperatures are expected to dip due to rainfall and cloudy conditions. Northerly-westerly winds will blow over much of the Sultanate. The sea is forecast to be moderately rough on the coast of Musandam and Dhofar governorates and the Sea of Oman. The Directorate-General of Meteorology at the Public Authority of Civil Aviation has warned of chances of poor horizontal visibility during foggy conditions.
