By Lakshmi Kothaneth — MUSCAT: Jan 22 - More rain is expected in the next two days starting from Monday in the governorates of Musandam, Muscat, North and South Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Buraimi, Al Dahirah, and North and South Sharqiyah, according to the Met office. Early morning light rain is likely in Muscat on Monday and in other areas by afternoon. Although the current trough is expected to end on Wednesday, there are chances of low cloud development that could result in isolated rain. Muscat is expected to receive more rain. However, humidity might be low because of a drop in temperature. This weather pattern will be associated with northerly to north westerly winds. “It will result in a drop in temperature by Wednesday, which could dip to a minimum of 16 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius,” said the Met office. Meanwhile, just as the Met office had predicted, Al Amerat saw a light drizzle on Sunday, while the Wilayat of Yankul experienced low clouds. In Jabal Shams, the minimum temperature dipped to five degrees Celsius and maximum temperature was 11 degrees Celsius.
